Gratitude is the awareness that everything is for you and simply being thankful for the gifts
grat-i-tude : the state of being grateful : thankfulness : conscious of benefit received or for what we are about to receive make us truly thankful : expressive of thanks : well pleased : glad.
My View...
Gratitude is the feeling of appreciation for all experiences, the appreciation for all that your experience gives to you, and as you should know by now is that what you do experience is a gift from you to you to help you remember who you are and to simply explore your wonderful creation.
Gratitude is the feeling and vibration of thanks, thanks for the gifts you have received and are receiving, it’s the message you’re sending to your God-Self giving thanks for the gift of this experience of being you and feeling alive.
It’s really a matter of being grateful to your God-Self for choosing to have the experience of you.
How could you not be grateful in every moment when you realize that every moment is for you, for you to experience what it’s like to be human, including all of the emotions, drama and experiences it brings.
My Experience...
Having children is a wonderful thing and being a parent you have the rare opportunity to see nature in action through your offspring, and of the things that I’ve noticed in my children and their friends is the feeling of entitlement.
It appears that the more we’re given the less we appreciate it, and you can see that in the children today. And furthermore you can see in all age groups where individuals were handed life on a silver platter and it doesn’t seem to be appreciated at all.
I believe that this is the whole reason for our existence here and why there are polar opposites such as love and fear, rich and poor, hot and cold, and so on. If it were not for cold how would we know what hot is, and the list of polarities go on forever.
This same thing applies to being grateful, if we’re handed things without effort, we come to expect that, and not only not give thanks, but come to not appreciate anything, which of course won’t help anyone.
I have my children do chores around the house and pay for extras that they want and in doing so I’ve seen the difference it makes in how they treat something that they earned, opposed to something handed to them.
The Simple...
Be thankful in every moment and you’ll have more to be thankful for. This may sound simple, but when life is seemingly throwing darts it you it may seem difficult to be thankful. But you must realize that these so called darts are nothing more than opportunities to learn and remember more about YOU.
Remember, your experience is a mirror of your inner being, your thoughts, beliefs and feelings, so any darts that are being thrown are darts you’re throwing at yourself to help you remember who you are. Be thankful for that, and simply wake up from the dream of your story and connect with your God-Self.
