Sadness is loneliness and depression and separation from the happiness and love that you are

sad-ness : affected with or expressive of grief or unhappiness : downcast : causing or associated with grief or unhappiness : depressing : regrettable, deplorable : of little worth.

My View...

Sadness is the feeling of depression where things just don’t seem to be going your way or something bad has happened to you. If it were not for these moments and experiences in your life you would not know the true meaning of happiness and joy.

When you do feel as though everyone and everything is working against you, you’re at a place where you have no sense of control over your experience, and your reality seems to be coming down on you real hard and it’s okay to feel the sadness in that, that a perfectly valid experience.

But just remember that it is just that, an experience, an experience that your God-Self is having of sadness through you. Take pride in knowing that all of your experiences are your gift to God just as much as they are being given to you, and you are God, always remember that.

As you become more in touch with your God-Self you’ll still have the full range of experiences but rather than being absorbed in them you’ll observe them and see them for what they are, an experience.

My Experience...

One of the most memorable times in life, besides losing my leg or the passing of friends and family would have to be when I had to file for bankruptcy and close down my business.

I started the business when I was 21 and within 5 years I have built it beyond my expectations. I had 10 employees, a large shop right on Main Street and had several major fleet accounts that we were maintaining.

I was a young uneducated man full of fire, I grew the business from nothing, and I mean nothing to well beyond the million dollar mark, and that was in the early 80’s, however the business was growing too fast and I didn’t have the business skills nor the capital to keep it up.

As hard as I tried and I did pretty darn good given that I was only 26, but it was spinning out of control. Some clients weren’t paying and others were paying slowly, I just couldn’t keep up with payroll and all of the bills. I ran out of money and had not one to bail me out - I had to close it down.

It was a real mess, I had no choice, I had to file for bankruptcy, liquidate and leave the premises. And the worst part was telling my longtime employees, some with me since the beginning that they didn’t have a job anymore. Most of them had families and I knew them, it was heart breaking.

Not only did I let myself, my clients and my vendor down I let down the very employee’s that helped me build the business, I let them down and their families, and I let down God.

I was absolutely crushed - I cried enough tears to fill to the oceans. It literally broke my heart and spirit and still to this day I can feel the wounds. I now know that it was all a story, but it sure felt real and still does, but looking back it’s an experience that woke me up, built some character, and showed me that I can get through anything, and so can you.

The Simple...

Don’t be sad, take delight in knowing that your sadness is a gift your story is giving to your God-Self and simply observe the sadness, cry a thousand tears, enjoy the experience, love it and let it go.

Just remember that it’s the actor in your story who’s sad, not who you really are. Remember that you are the creator, writer, producer, actor and the scenery enjoying the movie of your experience, your story.

Enjoy your story, observe all of the experiences that this life has to offer, just be careful not to get absorbed in them and let them rule your experience.
